Contact StudLoanCalc

We read every message. Whether you spotted a calculation that looks wrong, have a question about how we handle (or rather, don't handle) your data, or want to suggest a feature — this page is the direct line to the person who runs the site.

What to contact us about

Report a calculation or content error

This is the message we value most. If any number, formula, or statement looks wrong, include:

  • The page URL (or the calculator tab and the inputs you used)
  • The figure or sentence you believe is incorrect
  • If possible, the official source you compared it against (for example, studentaid.gov, an IRS publication, or your servicer's statement)

Corrections follow our published editorial process: we investigate against the controlling federal source, fix the page or the policy configuration, and update its visible "Last Reviewed" date. We never quietly patch numbers — the correction is reflected in the page's review stamp.

Privacy questions and data requests

StudLoanCalc runs all calculations in your browser. We do not operate user accounts, and no loan information you enter is transmitted to our servers — saved scenarios live only in your device's local storage. If you have any question about this, or believe data about you appears on the site, write to the address above and see our Privacy Policy for the full detail.

Feedback and feature suggestions

Missing a scenario in the 5-Plan Comparison? Want a state guide we haven't covered well? Suggestions from borrowers actively repaying loans directly shape the roadmap. The 50-state guides, for example, were expanded after readers asked for state-specific forgiveness programs alongside the federal ones.

What we can't do

  • We cannot advise on your specific loan account. We don't have access to servicer records and we're not affiliated with the U.S. Department of Education, MOHELA, or any servicer. For your actual balances, payment counts, and forgiveness eligibility, use the official Loan Simulator and your servicer.
  • We cannot provide financial, legal, or tax advice. The site is an educational tool. For decisions with major consequences, consult a certified financial planner, tax professional, or attorney.
  • We cannot expedite PSLF or forgiveness determinations. Only MOHELA and the Department of Education make those decisions.

A note on advertising

The site is supported by advertising, which keeps every calculator free. Ads never influence calculations, warnings, or content — we don't use affiliate links to lenders, and no lender can pay for a better comparison result. If you ever see an ad that seems to contradict that promise, tell us at the address above.
